The Dutch Barn Playhouse looks just that little bit different to most other playhouses with it's unusual roof profile, which gives added internal space.
Like all of our playhouses. it has been safety checked and approved by the TUV Safety Testing BS EN71 European Toy Standard - you couldn't ask for a better "health-check" for the suitablity of this building. Safety hinges are included on the Dutch Barn Playhouse which means little fingers are safe from injury. The door knob provides optimum useability for small hands.
The double storey playhouse includes an angled ladder with grooved, non-slip treads to the second storey and the upstairs has a large balcony area which is big enough for a couple of sleeping bags. How exciting for a child to have their own 2 storey house in their garden which has a lounge and a bedroom!
Strong posts provide extra support to the second storey so you are safe in the knowledge that your children are nice and safe. The windows are made from shatterproof styrene, a user-friendly glass substitute. There are plenty of windows and the side windows which even have shutters for added privacy in their little hide-away!
The solid OSB sheet roof and floor provide a structurally sound foundation for your children to play safely, and the decorative tongue and groove shiplap cladding provides a smooth finish as well as protection from the British unpredictable weather. The door to the Dutch Barn is also made from tongue and groove which continues the barn-theme appearence of this playhouse. The unique roof design of the Dutch barn Playhouse is covered with green mineral roofing felt which enhances the appearance and defends over time against the elements.
Please Note Our playhouses are pre-treated with a water based timber treatment for protection during transit. In order to receive the full 10 year anti-rot guarantee, it is necessary that you treat the garden building with a high quality, spirit-based, timber preservative prior to or shortly after construction. This will protect the timber from weathering and will need to be repeated accordingly in relation to manufacturer’s instructions.
